We are! We read about a new character today. His name is Bruce and he’s a grumpy bear. We also learned about how bears get ready to hibernate in a Let’s Find Out Scholastic magazine. Last week, we read and then acted out We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. This was familiar to many of the students and they were able to say the repeating parts along with me. On your next visit to the library, check out a book about bears, a story about Grumpy Bruce, or a book with repetition and rhyme. Students benefit from remembering familiar parts of stories and identifying rhyming words.
