Happy Fall
The students are transitioning nicely in Grade 2. In Reading, we will continue working on reading strategies and comprehension skills. In Math, we are working on mastery of addition and subtraction skills, among other concepts. Creative writing is an important part of this year. I enjoy reading the stories that are created by the children. The illustrations they create with their stories show the unique artistic side of each child! In science, it is all about the mystery. The Mystery Science lessons are a favorite and the lessons provide the children with critical thinking and questioning skills that really have them wearing their scientific hats!
