We learn many exciting things in 4th grade!
ELA: We learn and use many different reading skills to help aid in reading comprehension including inferencing, use of background knowledge, and drawing conclusions.
Math: We are very busy in math in 4th grade. We learn higher levels of multiplication and division, begin fractions, and geometry.
Social Studies: We study American history with a heavy focus on New York State. We even get to take a tour of Grand Island at the end of the year to learn more about our own local history – it is a student favorite!
Science: We learn about electricity, simple machines, and so much more all while getting to do fun experiments!
