SEVENTH GRADE MATH:
The seventh grade students have been working on Circumference and Area of Circles. They were then able to use that new information to find the area of composite figures. After they complete the chapter on Volume of Prisms, they will begin the basics of algebra and solving equations.
EIGHTH GRADE MATH:
The eighth graders are working on a Geometry unit leaning about Lines, Triangles and the Pythagorean Theorem. They will then begin a unit on various translations of polygons. Throughout the year, emphasis is placed on reinforcing those skills which are critical to Algebra 1 which they will be taking as freshman.
