Mrs. Samplinski’s Web Page

We have assigned the November Book It project.  I believe most students have selected a book.  An example of the assignment is posted outside of our classroom.

The weather is changing but I still go outside.  Please make sure your child has a warm coat, mittens, and a hat to go outside with during recess.  They cannot go outside if not dressed properly.  The girls may want to wear a pair of slacks under their uniforms to protect their legs.  I would wear slacks even with a pair of tights because it will help to keep the tights from getting dirty.  If you have some reason why your child should not go outside, you need to write a note.  They will be placed in another classroom while we are outside.

Third graders have a folder to study from for their Monday test.  They should have in the folder a packet about spiders, insects, worms.  They should have a packet about frogs and toads.  They should have a page showing butterflies and moths, a page about You Bug Me, and a green page showing The Life of a Butterfly.  If they review these pages an their Science notebook, they should be able to answer the questions on test this Monday.

MISSION FOR THE CLASS

My mission for the fourth grade class is that they will be prepared to enter the next level of instruction.  It is my goal that each child enjoys the art of learning but understands that is it their responsibility to be the active learner in this process.
