WELCOME TO ST. STEPHENS SCHOOL   WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO MAKING THIS SCHOOL YEAR FULL OF FUN MEMORIES ALONG WITH BUILDING A STRONG FOUNDATION FOR FUTURE SCHOOL SUCCESS.

I have been teaching Pre-k for over 20 years now and have enjoyed every minute of it.  I was honored a few years ago to be presented with Grand Island’s Citizen of the Year award for Teacher of the Year.   I was very flattered to be recognized for a job that I love doing.  I currently live in Niagara Falls.  I have 2 beautiful golden retrievers Jeter and Bronx. The children love hearing my stories about them each day.  I enjoy going to concerts, cooking, travelling and being with my friends. I have 2 nephews and 5 nieces who I adore.

I currently hold a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading. I hold a Masters degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I am also certified in First Responder  and General First Aid training through the Red Cross.

This is the schedule that we follow each day.  However, we are very flexible in Pre-K.

Rug Time

Reading/Story

Snack

Free Play

Social / Science

Math Readiness

Gym is offered each day for 40 minutes after lunchtime.

Music class is every Wednesday morning

Our Afternoon is not as structured.  We have rest time after gym class for 40 minutes.

We offer snack, free play, our religion lesson, and other lessons to enhance what we did in the morning.

If you ever would like to donate any old toys that you may be getting rid of please run it past us. If we could use them in the classroom we would gladly take them.  We are especially looking for small toys such as legos or any small manipulative activities. We are currently looking for a new kitchen set.

* We will be doing many activities which will be theme based.  Example:  Apples and Teddy Bears  for September, Thanksgiving and Fall for November, Christmas and Winter  for December and January,  Valentines day and Love for February, Weather and St. Patrick’s Day for March, Spring and Baby Animals for April, Flowers and Butterflies for May and for June we will focus on summer and what Kindergarten will be like..    Please note this is just an example of some given activities. We have many more things planned.
